Spray dried garlic powder, differently from dehydrated garlic powder, it can be eaten directly, so it is widely used as food ingredients in snacks. Here are three ways of how it is used.
1. Chips. Have you ever heard about garlic bread flavored potato chips? You maybe think it is an unlikely flavor combination, but it was chosen by voters as their favorite in the potato chip brand’s “do us a flavor” contest, as the result, the winner who make it win a million bucks for it!
2. Biscuits. There are many kinds of garlic flavored biscuits in the market. Here I will give you a little recipe of garlic flavor biscuit: In a small bowl, combine the flour, 2 teaspoons spray dried garlic powder, baking powder, baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon bouillon; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cheese. Stir in buttermilk just until moistened. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 1 in. apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Combine butter with remaining garlic powder; brush over biscuits. Bake 4 minutes longer or until golden brown. Serve warm. Yield: about 1 dozen.
3. Puffed snacks. Puffed snacks, such puffed rice, puffed wheat, puffed corn, etc, they can easily combine with spray dried garlic powder to get garlic flavored puffed rice or wheat or something.
